Q. I have a matching complete martha stewart bed room set with the exception of the headboard, footbard, and rail because it just didnt fit. But anyways the knobs and mirror are silver but not a shiny silver. What can I add to my night stands and in what color and style? What color photo frames? What decorations to add?
By the way 2 walls are the color of chocolate shake (not too dark) and the other two are caramel (not so dark either). And I have lighter color wood blinds.

A. I have a dark wooden bedroom set as well w/silver knobs. I have a blue/green color for the accents along with white. It looks really simple yet beautiful.
I found some cute ideas for matching colors from this site. You can see what colors will go together nicely!

how can i decorate, organize, and clean my room?
Q. I have always wanted one of those rooms you see on tv or in magazines and i really envy how pretty, clean and organized they are. i have a nice room but i have a hard time keeping it clean and organized. i can clean it really well and it gets messed up in about 2 days. i want to organize it but i am on a tight budget. i am 13 and my mom never thinks i need more in my room but i do. i love things on my walls, my favorite color is purple, and i am obsessed with anything having to do with taylor swift i love quotes and music, i love the idea of making things and that kind of thing. my room is not huge but it is not tiny. i have a bed, dresser, corner desk, book shelf. anything that can help me get organized, and clean and keep it that way will be helpful. its not that i dont like cleaning my room (i mean its not my first choice) but the face of the matter is, it gets so messy and when i go to clean it i get overwhelmed. im open to any ideas but just keep it cheap or diy. thanks!
A. I absolutely love organizing, yet you should take a look at my room and i bet you wouldnt be able to see the floor even though i cleaned it a few days ago!!! If you check on the martha stewart website she has a whole section dedicated to organizing your house and specific things such as kitchens or bedrooms. She has a bunch of very inexpesive things to do to organize, as well as diy organization tips. One thing i found that helps me a lot with organizing is those command strips!! I hanged all my jewlery up with them on my bathroom wall and it looks so cute! i also added the bigger ones to every wall in my closet to hang my purses and belts. also, depending on what kind of drawers you have in your room, you could put sectioned trays in them for clothes etc, like one tray could be for panties or bras, one could be just for pants and shirts, even pjs. it shows you what im talking about on her website so check it out!!
Ideas for a teen girl bedroom?
Q. Hi, i am a 13 year old girl and i want to remodel my room.
I definitely want my room to be painted a light shade of lime green, light pink, and aqua blue, but i do not know how to paint 4 walls with 3 colors. Also, the carpeting is blue, so i don't want the room to look too blue.
I was thinking maybe paint the walls pink and green and then paint the ceiling blue, but im not sure. Maybe the top half of a wall could be pink and the other half green?
Also, how could i decorate it? I am Girly, and kinda preppy.
Thank you soo much :)

A. Consult with your parents. They are actually pretty smart, believe it or not. Your mother should be able to give you some great tips and ideas. They will probably be helping you with the moving of furniture and so forth, so why not get their input. Another idea is to go to a store like Lowe's or Home Depot and go to the paint department. The colors you are considering are all there on cards which you can pull out and compare to each other. You can take them with you and take enough that you can place them on the walls and ceiling with thumb tacks to see what you think the finished product would look like. You can also write to Martha Stewart, I believe she had her cell redecorated while she was in Federal Prison, only kidding.
I thought about this a while after submitting my answer and have a suggestion for you. I am sure you have seen the sponge paint cut outs that are available in paint stores. They are sponges that absorb the paint and then when applied to the surface they leave the shape with the holes and so forth that are in the sponge. What you might consider is one of your three colors as a base, and use of the other two as colors for a theme you select.
For instance, Blue base, with sponge cut outs of fish and star fish that you could use your other two colors to place in random spots on the walls. You could do it with any theme that appeals to your interests, because if you couldn't find sponges in the theme you wanted you could even make your own.
