Answer
Well first, paint it whatever color you want. Then find a bed set that goes with the color on your wall. Maybe add a cute fluffy rug. Add a couple of posters/paintings on your wall (make sure it matches the color). Add some accessories here and there. Make sure it fits your personality!

i am a ttenage girl and my room is 10 ft 8 1/2 inches by 9ft 7 1/2 inches with a little square that is 2ft 4 inches by 2ft 8 inches which is where my window is (it looks like a big rectangle with a square on the outside of it thats connected to it) please help me

Answer
You can do two things: cover up the small size and weird window, or work WITH them. I vote for option #2! If you have a carpet you like, choose your colors from that. If not, pick either a very light color such as cream or light, warm beige, to make the room larger. OR go with a "cozy" look and use darker paint (I've always liked rich jewel tones when painting dark, like sapphire or ruby). Then get bedding that matches your main color, but in some kind of print (Indian prints are very cheap to get).

Put any lights on the wall (you don't need to wire them; just hang them and use an extension cord), and make surfaces have more than one use, like a desk for studying could also be a vanity.

For the window, either emphasize it's oddness with some press-on, vinyl designs (Home depot has them) or hide it by hanging filmy curtains from floor to ceiling (well, actually, the reverse!). You can even get a plexiglas, glue-on mirror for above and below it to make it look bigger.

Mirrors are a good idea anyway. Try to have at least one that is opposite the window, reflecting light. You can get mirrored squares and frame them or glue them behind wall-lights.

Either emphasize the "coziness" of the room by filling it up or go with an Eastern, "Zen" approach, very simple, few colors and minimal furniture.

Here are some links to sites for decorating small spaces for teens. The following one is mostly modern:
