bedroom design ideas for little girls image

I need to paint my bedroom because i can't stand having white walls and I wanted other peoples opinions on what color would go well in a room that has light wooden floors, a earthy-brown bedspread with maroon sheets and gets lots of sunlight during the day. I'm trying to get some new idea's that would go well and make the room look a little nicer than it currently does.

I can give you thrree thoughts but i havent seen the room cause ceiling height and base board color plays a part too. Thought one which is easy painting, a very deep red which will absorb the light and enhance your comfort set. thought number two, A nice yellow such as honey (girls like it) but this takes a tone down which requires a tinted glaze, such as brown or even deep red, (your local paint department should have pamplets on how to do it yourself.) I know it sounds crazy but ive seen it, NICE.. My final thought is to to take something in your design of the room (example the color of a shirt in a picture on the wall, or a less noticed color in the comfort set) and paint one wall that color, perferable one that has the window or windows or big furniture up against it and then pic a earthy tone that is a lighter shade.. If I sound crazy, than my other answer is to go to the paint store and gather some pamplets on painting.

Can you share some of your decorating tips and design ideas for a child's/toddler's room? I'm looking to add some decorative touches to my daughters bedroom and I've reached a point where I'm out of ideas but her room still looks bare.

it depends - if you decorate it now, do you have intention of doing so in the future? if not, paint it a nice neutral pale colour. and i suggest wall stickers- you can get loads: in her favorite animals, characters of other random things. Then if she doesnt like it you can change them!
If you want to be a little creative, maybe put her bed by a feature wall - and fill it with rainbows - butterflies, little quirky things she likes.
fairy lights are fun too - you can hang them at the top of the walls so at nighttime she doesnt get scared - the same with sticky glow in the dark stars - but these can be a pain to take off.
Just go a bit wild - if its your little girl then make it all fun and cheerful. maybe you two can make little pictures together out of finger paint or collage and hang them up in a corner of her room - that way she'll feel like she helped to decorate her room too :)
