well for you if you have chairs or that kind of thing in your room slip covers are cheap and you can add beautiful accents to your room also brightly colored candles on say a white shelf posted on a wall (like a purple candle) would give it a very nice pop.

as for your friend id say paint one wall black it may seem drastic at first but there are so many things you can do to a black wall add shelves or purchase a huge poster of marilyn monroe and get it framed for cheap at walmart (make sure the poster is mostly white so it jumps out at you and doesnt blend it) and put it on the black wall.

for both of you i do not know if you have windows but flashy curtains add SO MUCHpersonality to a room its ridiculous. try that.

carpets carpets carpets....accent rugs are great and you can find cheap deals at bed bath and beyond when they do clearances or even pier one or even walmart...walmarts great haha anyway hope it helps.

Paint color ideas?

I have two walls in my bedroom that are a beautiful color olive green, I want the other two walls to be something that would fall under a cool shade. Any ideas?

Answer
As there is no accent wall as you have done 2 in green, for a modern aesthetic, I would actually stick to a warm tone cream with a contrasting horizontal stripe of your olive green in the middle.

If you are more traditional, I would still pick a warm tone watered down olive green rather than cool as this is a risky move mixing the two styles. If you still want cool ask a colour specialist at your paint store.
