My daughter wants an "elegantly loud" bedroom. She says she wants the color scheme to be pink, lime and black with accents of aqua, (or something like that) and for it to last well into her teen years. Any ideas on what I could get and where I could find it?
Answer
this is not really a room thing.. but its kinda a decoration that she could put on her wall. get four photo frames (different sizes). paint them to whatever color themed room. glue all the frames together. (randomly, doesn't have to be perfect) get a small mirror and put it behind one of the frames (doesn't have to fit perfectly). get a sheet of nice paper with designs on it and put it behind another frame. for the other two, just add pictures. i have one in my room and it looks beautiful.
another thing that you could do is like a decorated light. get some Christmas lights (the long ones with little bulbs). buy some fake butterflies or flowers ( you can get them at art stores). stick them along the light randomly. wait for it to dry and hang it around your window..
it looks amazing =D
hope this kinda helps

Make a cute accent pillow for your bed with the remaining fabric to tie everything together. Easy to sew with a needle and thread if you can't use a sewing machine.
Cut fabric 13x30"
Fold the fabric in half, in-side-out so the color/print is inside.
Sew 1/2" in, along the edge on the two long sides, leaving the short end open.
Turn pillow cover right-side-out so the color/print is on the outside.
Fill with batting or even with a sweater/shirt you don't wear anymore.
Then sew up the opening.
