Looking for fresh design ideas for pretentious and stylish teenage girls? In this post we will try to give a hand. For today weâve gathered together a set of 25 pictures which represent young girlsâ rooms. We tried to do a various selection: we went with some serious and sober interiors, but we also gave a shot to the familiar and very popular pink, orange and red arrangements. All of the rooms are practical, featuring working spaces, small bookcases or shelving systems for books and Cds and beautiful cabinets especially designed for teenage girls. Last but not least, we consider the mirror to be a mandatory item in any girlâs bedroom, so in some of the photos below you will notice they have a special status. Even though not all the room design ideas have a particular theme, the decorating elements are very well interconnected creating interiors that are both functional and aesthetic.

Basement bedroom/lounge decorating ideas?

Q. My parents and I are cleaning up our basement so that I can move my bedroom down there. It's pretty small, the bedroom is tiny, but I'll have to whole level to myself. Basically, when you walk down the stairs, there is a main room with a wood-burning stove, TV, bookshelves, and our treadmill. Then off of the main sort of hallway are the incredibly tiny bathroom and bedroom. I don't mind it being small - my old room was only a bit bigger - but i'd like some ideas of ways to make it seem a bit larger. The bedroom ceiling is really low, but its a paneled ceiling so it's staying.

I'm planning on putting my mattress on the floor (I have a full size bed) in the corner, lining one wall with some mirrors, and covering the door leading to the side of the house with fabric so that it can act as a magnetic bulletin board (it's a metal door). My closet is going to have curtains in front of it, and it's going to be sort of walk in because the shape of it is really weird. It's really small but i can stand inside it.

My bedroom is going to have light blue walls. The main room is painted a really pale creme yellow, and is going to have a small futon, my desk, and maybe a bean bag chair. And the bathroom is probably going to be a pale purple.

Any tips on accessories and on maximizing space? It's pretty cramped down there, so is there anything I can do to make it seem larger and get as much floor space as I can while still keeping the things I want? Any tips you have would be appreciated.

(The bedroom is about 9 feet by 10 feet)

Hi there,

You can really create an adorable bedroom for yourself in your basement. Size doesn't matter. You just have to use some creative ideas to decorate your place and you will be able to create a beautiful living space for yourself. Here are some ideas which will help you make your basement look bigger and better.

1. Use light but lively wall colors

Light paints make a place look larger. On the other hand, dark wall paints make a place look smaller. You should definitely not go with the dark wall colors. Go for light but lively wall colors, such as sea green or lavender. Light blue and cream wall colors are fine but you can also consider other exciting colors. Don't paint your walls in dull or boring colors. Dull colors may make you feel dull.

2. Use small furniture items

Don't try to fit big furniture items in your basement. You can check out some small couches and tables for your basement. You can pick a couch for your main room. Go for a convertible and small couch. You can use such couches as beds and as couches. Check out some affordable couches and other small furniture items at become.com, ebay and amazon.

3. Remove all the clutter from your basement

It is important to remove all the clutter from your basement. You must throw out any item that's not needed.
