Q. I have a really small room.
I was wondering, what could i do to make it seem a bit bigger or even to give me a little more space.
I want to move my bed but the only other place i could put it is where my wadrobe is and tis fitted so i cant do that.
Any ideas to make it seem a little more spacious?
Its painted in light colours cause dark would make it wayy too small so theres no need for decorating ideas.
Thanks

A. A monochromatic color scheme will help to visually expand your space. Limit patterns to those that don't compete with the primary color you choose. Smaller is better when it comes to pattern. In fact, you'll get more perceived space by using interesting textures as opposed to pattern. Edit, edit, edit. Remove anything that isn't key to the design of the room. Ensure adequate lighting. Try balancing the functional (ambient and task) lighting in the room with some accent lighting. Do you currently have lamps on nightstands on either side of your bed? No nightstands? How about adding some wall mounted reading lights? Or maybe a picture light to highlight a piece of art or poster? These are readily available at places like Target or Home Depot. If there's an Ikea near you they have really cool (and very reasonably priced) lighting. Also, consider increasing the wattage in the current fixtures. Careful to observe the manufacturer's recommended maximum safe bulb size. Remove any area rugs. They create visual limitations. Better to go with wall-to-wall carpet or bare hardwood floors. Make sure the furniture in the room is appropriately scaled. Choose tailored bedding rather than that with lots of frills and trims. You might try eliminating the dust ruffle on your bed if you have one. Just make sure there's nothing underneath. Have you considered adding mirrors to your closet door(s)? Good luck.
What are some good, cheap websites/stores for a girl teen bedroom?
Q. I really need to re-due my bedroom, but I don't have very many ideas. Keep in mind I'm on a budget, so I don't think pbteens is a good website. I also have a small room, so any decorating ideas are welcome! Please help me! Thanks!!!!!!!!!!
A. I love HGTV! Go to their website and check out "Rate my Space". Click on "Top Rated". You will most definitely find inspiration there...I know that I do!!
Any Ideas on how to decorate a studio?
Q. I have a studio apartment, and i need ideas on how to decorate the apartment? So what should i do? How can i make my bedroom sit apart from the rest of the place? How to create a living room or dining room?
A. Best idea for a bedroom area is to use some kind of divider that's not too heavy & still lets light through, like a shoji screen or light curtains that you call pull back. Choose furniture that is multifunctional - for example, a storage bench that doubles as seating for a drop-leaf table when you have guests; storage ottoman instead of table beside chair or bed; comfortable chairs that fold or stack when not in use. Here are some examples of decorated one-room homes:
