How to decorate a teen girl's bedroom?
Q. So white walls.. CAN'T PAINT THEM. beige carpet, I have a purple day bed, purple bean bag, white dresser, and white desk, and another long white desk thing. 2 full length mirrors and a cork board. Need to make it so it isn't plain and has lots of color. I like hot pink, lime green, black, red, and deep purple! Teenage girl's room!
Thank's in advance

A. wow a lot of white and purple
you have too much furniture in your room
your dresser or a set of small drawers or basket needs to go into the closet to clean the room up more
your closet is organized more than ever and this is where a lot of the room mess goes to keep it clean
long shallow storage containers under the bed also help organize
ok color and you can not paint..you simple need accents that are one color to pull the room together..like the pink pink..a accent pillow or throw carpet...
look for bedding and curtain at jcpennys home or bed bath and beyond and pick things that are white and purple and pink...this will really change the room
cutter get rid of it..
go to a craft store and get big wooden letters in your name and paint them lime green and hang...over your bed
a few photo frames for another wall with art you made using those colors or photos you have take...and the frames could be painted to purple or pink or lime..
another wall i would get a cork board and ribbon in lime and pink purple and push pins and make diagonal lines across the board for decor....look for a couple cool cards for decor to place there...
i think you have a good start with what you have i think a parent would love to help you get your room cleaned and organized so write down some ideas and ask them
start by clean out old clothes for donation and get rid of old books and paper recycle and have only what you need and use in your room and it will always stay clean...
oh some colorful hooks hung high so you do not bump into them around the closet work great fro the back pack and purse and coat...although it would look better insode the closet...
good luck
relax

Help with ideas for a teenage girl's bedroom?
Q. I am a thirteen year old girl, with a somewhat boring bedroom.
Currently the walls are painted purple, and I have a King Single bed, a desk, a Billy Bookcase from IKEA, a full length mirror and lots of wall space. I have a inbuilt wardrobe which has posters on one door, and a painted blackboard on the other. Most of my furniture is white.
I want to decorate my walls in a unique way - I've looked on tumblr and seen some great things, but I'm not sure how to take these to my own hands!
I don't mind photo collages, or mirrors. I do have some pastel coloured lanterns from Typo which hang on one of my blank walls right at the top - but the rest of that wall (this is the wall my bed is on) is completely blank.
I'm not a full on girly girl, but I'd like something somewhat mature, but still representing my age.
I'd love to hear any ideas that you can suggest!?

A. First, I would choose a palette. You say your walls are purple but not what shade. You could add green and tan and get a woodsy, fairytale palette or white and silver and get a more modern look...For the images, I would say it should be something that represents you in some way. What do you like to look at? What are your dreams? Is there somewhere you would like to travel? Over your bed, do a great big image of something - make sure it is in a frame (Ikea has large and inexpensive ones). Then take another wall for a Vision Board or a Dream Board and make a large bulletin board out of cork squares or a fabric panel with ribbons to tuck things in and start adding images. It should change over time as you complete some of the items and think about others. Make sure you have nice comfy places to curl up or sit and a nice rug that feels good on your feet!
