Q. It is a small bedroom, yellow with two big joined windows. Closet to the right as you walk in and the window straight as you enter. I do not have a bed yet or any furniture. I will not be painting... I want to know how to make it less of a bedroom and more of a "come and enjoy" room. I also need it to stay light and airy. A. You should paint the walls in a neutral off-white, cream, warm grey or very subtle pastel. Splashes of color can be accomplished with art, paintings or framed photographs. The floors should be wood if possible.
