How to make this bedroom like a sitting/living room?

Q. It is a small bedroom, yellow with two big joined windows. Closet to the right as you walk in and the window straight as you enter. I do not have a bed yet or any furniture. I will not be painting... I want to know how to make it less of a bedroom and more of a "come and enjoy" room. I also need it to stay light and airy. I'd also like neutral bedding to change out per season/mood... Any ideas?

A. Hi,

Alright! If you want to make it a fun room, just check out these ideas:

1. Start by decorating the room with wall decals

Take a look at the wall with a unique shark wall decal in this link http://www.houzz.com/photos/1849433/Portfolio-of-Work-contemporary-family-room-san-francisco You can pick some similar fun wall decals for this room.

2. Pick a functional cabinet that allows you to store stuff

3. Make your room really comfortable

Place a nice coffee table and some chairs to create a conversation in the room. You can turn it into a guest room by installing a wall bed into it. Such beds won't take too much space. Also, check out some cotton split king sheets and pick some basic ones to make the room comfortable. This idea will help you use this room as a study room as well. Take a look at these sheets http://www.walmart.com/ip/Simple-Luxury-300-Thread-Count-Egyptian-Cotton-Stripe-Split-King-Sheet-Set/20519819?srccode=cii_16079562&cpncode=31-135512606-2&adid=1500000000000037937920&veh=cse You can use sheets with a milder color in hot days and sheets with solid and dark shaded in cold days. You can also pick some printed sheets. Check out different sheets here. Compare them and pick the most suitable ones http://home-and-garden.become.com/split-king-sheets

I am trying to re do my bedroom. I want it to be very bright. Get sick of colors easy any suggestions?
Q. I dont mean bright as in neon. I was thinking like a pink so light that its almost white. idk though because then i feel i would need white furniture and I am trying to avoid that. I want my room to be light though. If anyone knows any good bedroom idea/decorating websites. Thatd be great!

A. You should paint the walls in a neutral off-white, cream, warm grey or very subtle pastel. Splashes of color can be accomplished with art, paintings or framed photographs. The floors should be wood if possible.

Some good ideas are on this site: http://www.houzz.com/

What color for a teenage girls bedroom.?
Q. The question explains it all. Hah :) My grandparents are getting a house near me and I get a room. My room now is pink.. But I want something different.. What color scheme is your room.? What do you think I should do.?

A. Blue is great.Be sure to use white too. It brings out the other colors.
First pick bedding you love and work around that.
