bedroom designs for girls purple image

There are 2 girls that share a large room. Both girls are very creative and artsy. They love high fashion and music...I guess you could describe them as "alternative". There are really no guidlines except that they are painting the room a deep teal (&they will not be using purple or gold) But other wise I just need some help.

How should I paint my bedroom wall?
Q. I am a 14 year old girl and I am painting my bedroom. I was thinking a light purple but I wanted to put pretty designs or something on the wall (maybe stencils of some sort). What kind of things should I put on my wall?
My sister was thinking about doing something like two opposite walls purple and the other two white in her bedroom. I don't want to copy her but if you have any ideas similar to that, that would be great.

Line tape all around the walls first especially the ceiling! paint the whole room way, make sure you have something covering the whole floor (paint drips a little) when it's totally dry you can buy stencils from AC Moore or your local crafting store. Good Luck!
