the world will always make you feel you are not good enough?

Reaper Sis

man 's standards are a pain in the behind , when you feel you are in the top , others will come and tell you you are just halfway ,
not pretty enough , not talented enough , not good enough ,
why cant just people see perfection is just a human illusion ?
and all you actually are good enough is for suicide when all your are given for relief is a freaking hotline and not real acceptance , realistic expectations and a hug?
why does being different is such a burden for others ?
do you feel this way too? do you feel as if it is time we learned this lesson already?

Answer
As a man, I know that we are attracted by what we see and are visually stimulated. I don't expect you to understand that as a woman because you all are more emotionally and mentally stimulated. It's probably more difficult for you to just see a guy and be totally turned on.
Because culture in the U.S has been influenced by literature, radio, television and now internet, media which is run by men the majority of the time, the mans' perspective of what is sexy that has prevailed. It has been a slow seeping into the social conscience that what is sexy are the tight fitting jeans that show off the form; the halter tops and sports gear that pronounce the woman's figure.
Because women (ask any teenage girl or any woman that used to be a teenager) seek to impress men so they are attractive to them, they conform to these images and styles. And guess what? We eat it up. Women look sooo good in these types of clothes.
Yes, there is a diffrent standard for men but, it's because we don't always attract you with our bulging muscles if our mouths show that we are mental midgets.
The idea of what is beautiful (as a woman inparticular) in popular culture has gone too far even to the point that not only girls but now boys are becoming bolemic (sp?) and anorexic (Sp?)
One thing about us guys is that we are turned on by what we see, but we are also attracted to women who are willing to cover up and show their mind.
Respectable lady outside and a freak in the bedroom kind of thing.
Women should give up the "flaunt it if you got it " attitude for the "you gotta earn the right to see this" attitude. This will change a lot about the way the culture sees women and stop so much of the subjugation.
