decorate a girls room?

Sierra d

Alright so my little sisters 9th birthday is coming up. We want to suprise her by decorating her room all princessy. For her slumber party. We want to know ideas. So any one got any?

Also we need game ideas and activitys and ideas to make a cake into a crown made from cupcakes for a princess.

Answer
This is the best and many girls loved it. My best friends done it for their sisters aged betwen 8 - 10 and they loved it!

I'll see if I can get reviews after.

1st idea: Paint the room entirely light pink then buy princess stickers and stick it on the walls. Get a pink bed cover and duvet with sleeping beauty on the duvet then put it on her bed. If the holder for the bed is wood paint it white. Get a floaty pink scarf and drape it from the two ends of the bed. Then if she has a bookshelf paint it white and plonk as many pink and barbie books as you can find on their. Then buy a pink or white fluttery curtain and hang it thier. If she has a desk paint it white then sprinkle gold glitter over it. Find a pink lamp or ornament and put it on the desk. Find some light green silk and cut it and stick it on the ends of the table paint dragons on the desks sides as if they are climbing up the green silk. But make sure she's not scared of dragonss or she'll get nightmares! Find a white table and a pink tea party set and put it in the middle of the table. Put a pink see through material over these and then sprinkle it with slver glitter. If you've got a pink mat then put it on the floor near the bed. Paint the cupboard whit an decorate it with pink hearts small then gradually getting bigger. Find posters o sleeping beauty and cinderalla and put it on the sides of the cupboard. Buy a pink princess wall clock and hang it on the wall above her bed if possible. If you can find gold wall letters in curlz put it on her front door. Find a soft gold beanbad and ppush it to the side. On the desk add some pink fairy paper and a pink pot with colours of the rainbow pens inside. Buy a princess throne chair and put it in the corner somewhere. Buy a disney princess glow light (put in google) then put it on the desk. Buy disney princess napkins and party plates and put it on the tea party table. Buy Dream Town Rose Petal Cottage Chair Accessory Pack (put in google) then add into room. If there are drawers in this desk put Barbie - Mariposa And Her Butterfly Fairy Friends dvd in it. (google that) Add a VTech Disney Princess Talk and Teach Telephone to the desk and a VTech Disney Princess - Magic Wand Laptop. You might want a room tidy. (see below in items)

As for party games this got copied and paster from the website http://www.partygamecentral.com/pgcstandard/gametmpstd.php?gnm=161
CATCH THE BALLOON
Hurry! Don't let that balloon touch the floor.
Arrange the players in a circle on the floor and have them number off. Put the highest number in the center to act as 'it'. He/she should hold a balloon and suddenly drop it as they call out a number. The holder of that number then should try to catch the balloon before it touches the floor. If he succeeds, 'it' tries another number. If it touches the floor then he is "it'.
Variation: You can play elimination style where those who don't catch the balloon are out and play continues until only two players are left. Then an "umpire" can drop the balloon for the last two to determine the winner.

I SPY FOR TRIPS
This game is guessing game for car trips which also teaches children how to use adjectives.
One person is "it" and chooses an object which is visible from the car. Then "it" says something about the object they have chosen such as "I spy something white" but they should only use one adjective to describe it. Then each person in the car gets a chance to guess the object. If no one gets it then "it" adds one more adjective such as "I spy something white and round". This continues until someone guesses correctly. Sometimes with little ones you have to be very specific such as "I spy something white, round on that big sign right there."

KITTY CORNER Rating:
A group dodge ball game where players run from corner to corner and try not to get hit.
Pick from 1 to 6 people to be "it". Everyone that is "it" gets a ball (like a standard red kickball). All the "its" must stand in the center of a room which has at least 4 corners. All other players are cats. All the cats pick a corner to stand in. Someone must act as umpire and yell "cats get a corner". Then all cats run for the corner that is next. Everyone should move in the same direction so no one runs into each other. While the cats are running the "its" try to hit them with the ball. If you get hit you stand in the middle by the person who hit you. The "it" at the end with the most cats is a winner and gets to be a cat. The first cat to get hit becomes an "it".
TREASURE HUNT Rating:
A kids game where you send them on a hunt for the treasure chest and lots of prizes by following pictures.
Create a treasure chest using a box, aluminum foil and black construction paper. You'll also want to cover the lid and tape it to the box such that it will open like a chest. Fill the chest with candy, chocolate coins, small toys, bubble makers, squirt guns, and other assorted prizes. Next, gather a selection of objects in which you will hide clues. Eight items is usually a good number. These can be anything but should be associated with the theme of the party if possible. Draw pictures of each object on small pieces of paper. Next on one more piece of paper draw one more picture of the treasure chest with a map (X marks the spot) or verbal directions to where it can be found. Hide each picture in an object such that as each object is located, the paper inside tells the kids what to look for next. Finally, they should find the paper with the treasure chest and map and thus find the treasure. When the treasure is found, give each child a chance to reach inside and grab a handful of treasure. Of course there are games like pass the parcel and going on a bear hunt and musical chairs you can play.

Ingredients
Just Add Guests! â¢

To Play
Divide the kids into two teams and take Team A into another room. Team A must switch various items of clothing or accessories with one another, then return to the game room.

Team B must try to guess all the switches that have been made within a five-minute time period.

Add up how many items Team B guessed correctly.

Then let Team B have a turn to "switch" and let Team A guess the switches. The team with the most correct answers in the allotted time period wins a prize.

Crepe Paper Streamers

To Play
Divide the kids into pairs, with one the Mummy and the other the Mummy Wrapper.

Give each wrapper a roll of toilet paper or crepe paper streamer.

On the word "Go!" have the wrappers race to see who can wrap up their mummy first.
