I might be taking some photos to build a portfolio for an aspiring model. I want it to be sexy and in good taste at the same time. I'm not sure where to shoot. I don't want to have to pay to use a space. There is no beach nearby where I live. Do you guys have any ideas?
I'm thinking the bedroom.
I got a pool outside so that might work.
maybe laying down on the bed chest down w/ a blank covering her....
I know it's not really original but yeh
how about couch pictures or maybe in the swimming pool?
not naked
Answer
I don't think you want to do traditional bedroom shots or naked pictures. Tasteful nudity/sexy is a very difficult thing because once a girl shows a sexual nature, she gains a stereotype that will make it hard to have any kind of job as anything other than sex-related. Stick with natural motions and things that take place every day.
If you have a field of flowers or weeds, you could have the pieces of nature covering her partially, like nature is "taking her back", so to speak.
Climbing a tree or dangling from a branch like a kid would on a jungle gym is also a fun position, and is a great chance to show off a beautiful smile if she's having fun. She could be reaching her arms out to the camera, laughing, swinging back and forth.
If you have to go with a bedroom scene, you could have her wearing girl boxers and a tank top, throwing clothes in the air and behind her while she's looking for something to wear in her drawer. Her expression could be of boredom, worry, or irritation.
Dancing in her room while she's "getting ready for a date", singing in a hairbrush (like a microphone), or jumping onto the bed like a kid before a pillowfight, pillow in hand would be fun shots. Falling back onto the bed to show "a long day at work".
Remember: it's not just about her body shape. It's about the expression of emotion on her face and in the way she moves her body to expose what she's feeling.

Does anyone have any tips for a new bedroom design?

So I'm changing up my room to be more of my personality and AGE. I'm 13 (don't worry, this is my mom's profile) and I had my room for my whole life. That means its all pink with disney princesses EVERYWHERE. I just want some tips on how to make it beautiful. Sorry, I can't post any pics, but I have one big window that's in the middle of my wall opposite of the door, my room is medium sized, I have one twin bed, I need a desk area thing for homework. I have a dresser with a TV on top of it, and a huge shelf with a lot of toys on it. My closet is a walk-in by the way.
Answer
I am trying to visualize your room. A window - no idea what size, a twin bed. Put your desk under the window. Position your bed on the wall to the right of the door - long side to the right wall and head board to the far wall. Place your dresser on the left wall. Find a way to hang the TV from the wall/ceiling opposite of your bed (door wall).
sort through your toys. You are probably too old for most of them. donate or if you can not part with them wrap them up and store them in the attic or basement. Paint your ceiling sky blue - add fluffy clouds if you or your Mom are a little bit artistic. Paint the bottom half of your walls lime green. Install a chair rail. If you like an ultra contemporary look install flat metal stock 1 1/2" to 2" wide. If you want a more traditional look install dark stained wood. Paint the upper portion your wall medium blue, hot pink, lavender, dark purple or soft yellow. Choose lamps and light fixtures to suit the feel of the room. If you are going contemporary use lots of shiny metal. Dress your bed with bedding that reflects the colors of your room. Add been bag chairs, sling chairs and fuzzy rugs. Lots of throw pillows on the bed. Use floating shelves on the walls for display. If you choose a contemporary theme then look for black and white architectural photographs framed in flat black or shiny metal.
Query teen room design. Keep in mind that you want to be happy with your room until you are old enough to get your own place. Think ahead. If you really plan your room and promise your Mom not to ask for another make over she will be more willing to fork over the $$ to re-do your room.
The secret is to plan. Make scale drawings. Collect color chips. Look for drapery and bedding. What room will you be happy living in for the next 5 to 10 years?
Good luck
