My husband and I just bought our first home and now we are trying to decorate it. We have run out of ideas for our bedroom. We are in our late 20's so we would like something modern but upscale. But we are on a tight budget due to the house. Any ideas would be appreciated.

remodel master bedroom?

hello! my husband and i rent a house, it's a small rather older house probably built in the early 70's. the master bedroom is small, the sink is kind of in the room.. where the shower and toilet have their own separate room. i always said i didn't want to sink money into this house, but i'm just tired of living the way we are. i've done some minor adjustments, i put some beautiful dark red curtains up and that made it more cozy.
i'm looking for a vintage/romantic/cozy room... what color should i paint the walls?
