How should a single 22 year old man decorate his room?

Q. My roommate just broke up with his girlfriend and he doesn't want that room anymore. So I just got the master bedroom. I have a cherry wood sleigh bed and matching dresser. Besides that, I don't have anything else. Could you help give me ideas on how I could make it an inviting place for guests who might be in it.

A. U'r furniture sounds nice. I'm impressed. So what do u like? What is u'r style? Do u want it 2 represent u when u walk in or 2 impress someone else?

B/c I know guys like guitars/sports/women etc but if u'r trying to b more "classy" than that...

what about stripes? Navy & tan/creme. OR navy on the bttm. part about 1/4 or 1/2 up then a tan or creme. Then do u'r covers etc in accents of navy/maroon & tans.. that would look sharp.

If u like a little contemporary... then paint diamonds in the middle in the maroon OR find a border that is simple design in or close to those colors. Or molding & stain it cherry to match u'r furniture.

U could even lean towards navy & grey/silver grey but the tan would warm it up more.

Put cushions on the floor, pillows on the bed, use frames of u'r friends or a pitcular art that u like. U could do them in black n white print w/ either maroon frames or navy frames. U can p/u lots of this stuff at thrift stores.. garage sales.. Big Lots... Walmart...

Get some lamps & re-paint them.. Fabric glue on the shade w/ fabric or hangin lamps & re-paint them as well.

Be creative! Have fun!

I need baby shower advice for a baby boy! The theme is sports, the color is sage green. Any ideas?
Q. I am putting on this shower for my friend. Nursery theme is sage green, so I want to stay in that color scheme. She is also decorating the nursery with sports/balls, but in soft colors, not in primary/bright colors. More muted pastel (sage, cream, light blue). I need ideas for the decorations as well as a themed menu and games. Anyone have some creative ideas that will impress this soon-to-be Mommy?

A. Dress The Baby (Materials: Baby life-size dolls, onsies, diapers, socks, shoes, shirt and pants for each baby doll and stopwatch) - Have each team race to see who can dress the baby doll the first. Each person (or team) must have everything correctly on the baby doll when saying finished. Points docked for missing articles or articles not placed on right. A really fun game and a great way to collect some clothes for the mother to be at her baby shower when the game is finished. also u can blindfold them

Bottle Races(Materials- Baby bottles with Milk or alternate drink). Have each participant take a bottle filled with a liquid and suck the bottle as a baby would. The woman who drinks the most in an alloted time wins the baby shower gift. This baby shower game gets everyone laughing

Pass the Dirty Diaper(Materials- diaper, chocolate, music player). the host to take a diaper that has been "fixed" with warm chocolate in the right place and have the woman pass it to the woman next to them like hot potatoe;(make sure everyone is in a circle). When the host stops the music, whomever is holding the diaper is out of the game. a baby shower favorite

Baby Shower "Loving" Advice(Materials: red and white cardboard paper, scissors, and colored pens) - A great baby shower game to play is to have everyone write a "loving" message for the mother and father to be on cardboard cutout hearts in giving them advice for when the baby is born or during their last few days or months before the baby is born. The "loving messages on hearts tie in with a Valentine's theme very well or at any time during the year. Examples of this would be "Remember to enjoy the moments since they go fast, Get as much sleep as possible before the baby is born and when he/she takes naps, Make sure to take lots of pictures and keep up with a journal writing everything the baby does for the first time, etc. This can be a very memorable and touching activity at the shower as well as help for the new parents

Baby Shower Right and Baby Shower Left- (Materials: a baby shower prize and the following story to be read) - DIRECTIONS: Form a circle with all baby shower participants. Each time you hear the word "right", pass the baby shower wrapped prize to the person on your right. When you hear the word "left", pass the baby shower prize to the person on your left. When you finish this story the person holding the item is the winner of it. Have either the mommy-to-be start the game or choose who holds the prize first. Here is the story to read when playing

This is a story about Mrs. Wright's baby shower tea party. She lived right at the end of Lefty Lane, the third house on the left. Today, Mrs. Wright's was hosting a baby shower tea party. The women would enter left, right through the front door and greet Mrs. Wright, they would head right down the stairs, turning left then right into Mrs. Wright's family room where the mommy-to-be was

Two of the girls were left-handed so they would sit at the left of the table. Mrs. Wright held up her right hand and all of her friends grew quiet, except the left-handed girl on the right patting Mrs. Wright's dog named Hefty Lefty

Mrs. Wright asked Sarah Wright and Julie Wright to pass out the teacups starting to the left. Sarah Wright and Julie Wright started out left but turned back because they left the cups just to the right of the table, right next to the spoons. Mrs. Wright said, "That's all right

Mrs. Wright began to serve her friends some pie when Grandma Wright smelled the delicious desserts and left her bedroom to join the Wright girls. She went down the stairs and turned left than right, right into Mrs. Wright's family room.

Grandma Wright knocked and entered left and sat in the rocking chair on the left. Sarah Wright and Julie Wright invited Grandma Wright to join them at the table

Grandma Wright had been to many baby showers as a young girl and right before they realized it, Grandma Wright was telling them a stories from when she was the mommy-to-be and went to the right cabinet and in the left drawer were pictures of her baby shower.

As the party ended right on time, they all put their dishes right in the left side of the sink and thanked Mrs. Wright and Grandma Wright for such a wonderful time. Soon, all of the women from the Wright baby shower tea party turned right than left, then left again to return to the front door and out to
the right car that they arrived in. Down lefty lane they went. Now who ended up with the right gift?

- (Materials: two 5-6 foot pieces of rope, clothes pins, baby clothes or baby doll clothes, 2 laundry baskets, 2 baby dolls, and 2 telephones (you can use a toy phone, a cell phone, or whatever is available). To play this game, you have two people hold the ends of the rope. The players must hold a baby doll on their hip, talk on the phone (they must actually engage in a "conversation" on the phone) and the must put clothes (that are piled in the laundry basket on the floor) on the rope using their clothes pins. You put a one or two minute timer and the player to get the most items hung on the rope with out dropping the baby or stopping talking on the phone wins! The baby shower guests get a huge laugh watching everyone struggle withthis awesome baby shower game!

(Materials: Name Tags, Pens) - Prepare name tags with various words of things that the mother-to-be will use during motherhood (e.g., Diaper, Pacifier, Onesie). Give guests a *name* tag when they arrive which is how they will have to be called during the Baby Shower Party. Every guest gets a baby diaper pin and pins it to their clothes. When a person is not called by the name givin they get to take the diaper pin. The person with the most number of pins at the end of the party wins!

I love the movie phantom of the opera and I want to make my bedroom look like christines dressing room.?
Q. I also want to hang some artwork on the walls so any ideas for that?

A. In the movie, Christine's dressing room is filled with vases upon vases of roses from her admirers after her performance in "Hannibal." Also considering that roses are a prominent symbol in the movie (as a sign from the Phantom) you could choose to incorporate that in your decorating. Candles also make frequent appearances in the set design, most notably in the dressing room and lair. Christine also has what looks like a dark red silk armchair by the door. There is also a french screen in the corner that she dresses behind.

On the doors, there are painted flowers. On the red and rose wallpaper, you can see portraits of victorian age women. You could also find vintage-looking opera posters, such as the one they use for "Hannibal." Glass wall lamps hang as well.

In the movie, Christine has a gold vanity. It has three gold oval mirrors. You could maybe find similar mirrors and put them on a desk. On the desk, there are white tapered candles.

Of course, the room wouldn't be complete without it's main feature: the mirror. You could probably find a full length mirror or one with a gold frame.

These are just some ideas, I hope they helped. Below is a link for the screeen caps for the scene in the movie where she's in her dressing room.
