Answer
-Lose clutter, this will make it seem frantic and disorganized.
-Add light fabrics, such as chiffon, satin and cotton to beds and curtains to make a luxurious but light and breezy feel.
-It doesn't have to be pink, but usually a pale colour is a good base colour. Use more than one colour, so it looks deeper and more chic, but make sure it coordinates. Pale pink and teal is always a good combination, as are pale pink/orange, pink/brown, blue/brown, lime green/magenta, pale blue/purple or magenta.
-Don't go over-board with REALLY girly things, too much fluffy pink and frills will make your room seem prissy and sickly.
-Add coordinating throws, rugs and cushions to your room, and make the bed a central point.
-Displaying jewellery in a vintage-style birdcage makes a girlie way of showing things decoratively.
-A feature wall is a good way to incorporate your coordinating colour. This could be one wall of wallpaper, a different colour, or a different coloured wall with wall stickers. But do not wallpaper all the walls, as this will make your room seems overdone and complicated, as well as making your room seem smaller.
-Painting walls in a pale colour makes the room seem brighter and girlie, as well as really opening up the space, and making it seem bigger.
-Good places to look when shopping for rooms are ikea, PBteen if you live in USA and any cute little shops near you.

Here are some sites and examples of great rooms that you can use as inspiration.

How do I brighten up a small bedroom for a teenage boy?

LuvinLife4

My son's bedroom is small and, unfortunately, on the dark side of the house. So he has very little natural light. He said it depresses him (I don't blame him) but we are not rolling in money and can't really do much to make it bigger. What's worse is our neighbor has this row of annoying trees at the property line and refusees to cut them down! I want to paint his room in a color that is bright but not girl like. His furniture is wood, a dark wood but it was a great deal. His room theme is all boy, airplanes, baseball, football, cars and posters of pretty women (he's a teen, LOL).

Any websites or ideas?

Thanks!
Oh, yes, I just thought of this, his room needs ideas to brighten it up, it's not cluttered most days.

How about a very light (almost white) blue or a light creamy yellow?

Choose a light colored comforter, too: http://www.kidsroomtreasures.com/mm5/graphics/00000001/winged-skull-600.jpg or a plaid or check design.
Blinds will make it appear more spacious than curtains but use light ones. If you feel you need to "boy" it up a little more you can add a masculine wall decal: http://images.search.yahoo.com/search/images;_ylt=A0oG7nA.ybhNbCkA2ilXNyoA?ei=UTF-8&p=skull%20wall%20decal&fr2=tab-web&fr=yff40c
Keep the clutter hidden & make sure there's plenty of lighting.
