Makeover ideas for a teenage girls bedroom?

Abby

I'm moving house into a 3.00x3.10 size room. I want a nice elegant kind of look, I'm 14. I want to be able to put up posters, but I woul like a feature wall, any suggestions? Also suggestions for bed spreads and lamps and dressing table items. Thanks! (my furniture is light cream btw)

Black, white, and one color of your choice is always elegant (and easily changed up later by swapping out the color).

Things that add elegance to the room could be a nice vanity area, with a pretty mirror, and maybe some mirrored trays to hold your hair and makeup accessories. Make sure you get pretty curtains, which depending on the colors you chose can be either dark or richly colored, or soft sheers.

You can add some sort of drapery over your bed, whether it's a mesh that drapes over it, or colorful fabric curtains that surround it (I'm talking one that hangs from the ceiling, btw). If you need something to frame your feature wall, you could use some sort of curtain there instead.

Lighting is also important. Lampshades with pink on the inside cast a soft glow over the room. You could get/make a sparkly chandelier to hang from the ceiling light.

Even if you have wall-to-wall carpeting in your room, you might want to add a nice accent or area rug, to make it looks pulled together. You can also get big floor cushions that can be stored in your closet or under the bed, and brought out when you have friends over for extra seating.

Bedroom decorations for a teenage girl?

I REALLY like pink and im thinking about doing kind of a valentines' day theme with pink and red... i already have a pink canopy bed and i would like to keep it. I also like sparkles. Any good ideas (paint color, bedding, accessories, etc.)

try this for ideas. alot of the stuff is also available on ebay too :)
there is a room there with red walls, pink dresser and a silver heart on the wall if you scroll thru the rooms. the title of the room is "room for dreams". you could have a red accent wall and place your bed against that wall then put a furry white rug or two by your bed. you could make the cute mirror that is in the picture yourself by adding jewels or small round stickers from the craft store around the outer edge of a full length mirror. if you add the jewels to the mirror surface ask them at the craft store cuz i think you need a special kind of glue. but i think you could do this room for a pretty cheap price. the white comforter with red flowers( or look for a white one with pink flowers) is available on ebay and the lamps, curtains, rugs and the hooks that they made the heart shape out of are at ebay too. then just add a simple white table as a night stand with a couple of red storage totes for your stuff. it's a super cute room:)
