I am redoing my girls room(they are 4 and 2,share a room) Here is the bedding that will be in there:

http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=5499619

http://www.target.com/gp/detail.html/ref=huc_ic_3_txt/188-0384017-5148334?ie=UTF8&ASIN=B001E8MWLC&nodeID=&merchantID=A1VC38T7YXB528

My problem is which one of these wallpaper borders goes best with the bedding?

thank you all! so glad that it all matches! i really loved the set at walmart and had such a hard time finding a set for younger daughter. i wanted the same color scheme and flowers, but without using the same bedding on both!

Answer
I like the first one the best, but I almost think you might want to avoid a wallpaper border? In just a few years your oldest will be "tween" age and will probably want to redecorate again! If you forget about the border and use really cute widow curtains, framed prints and/or a cute little bulletin board/ chalk board, then when your girls want an "older" looking room you can just switch those things out and get new bedding! No repainting/ wallpaper removal necessary!

If you do want to stick with the border, though, I think the first one is really cute and would go well with both bed sets. Good luck!

New bedroom ideas? damask theme? points for the best answer?

Katie

m moving house and decorating my new room now. Im 16 and a girl. I want a damask themed room but I dont want black and white damask, I was thinking of white and pink? What do you think?

My room isnt big nor small. Imagine a rectangle, my window is on the left wall, the door is on the bottom right hand corner of the rectangle. On the wall oppisite the door, I want to put a wallpaper, I was thinking of this one.

http://www.diy.com/nav/decor/wallcoverings/wallpaper/floral_wallpaper/-specificproducttype-red__cream___purple_wallpaper/Super-Fresco-Easy-Majestic-Paste-The-Wall-Wallpaper-Hot-Pink-10M-11317562&tmcampid=4&tmad=c?ecamp=cse_go&CAWELAID=835539267

What do you think? Shall I keep the rest of the wall white and add this wallpaper?

I dont want my room to look overcrowded and over the top and I want to make it look as big as I can. Im buying all white furniture?

Help on bedding? Curtains or blinds?

Thanks in advance!!

Answer
I am unable to locate that link but...
It sounds like a great idea.
Defnitely use the background color of the wallpaper if very light or white for the other 3 walls in the room.
Choose a wall for the covering that is seen as soon as you enter the room. Make it a wall that will have other nice looking things on it like a beautifully made bed w/ a nice headboard.
Or a white dresser with decorative lamp and a couple of pictures on the wall.

Use one or more of the other colors in the wall covering for accents in the room...throw rug, curtains, etc.

I have 2 girls. 1 and 3. My 1 year old is almost 2 but very advanced for her age. She speaks very clearly. My 3 year old will be 4 july4th. The theme is dora & puppies. What kind of beds should I use? Twin over full bunkbed? my 3 yr old is tall she looks and talks like a 5 yr old.. So she'll be needing something like a twin? Bit will that look right?? Any ideas?

Answer
I would get twin beds or if the room is big enough full size beds or twin boards that can convert to full. Girls, unlike boys, tend to tire of the whole bunk bed idea quick.

Also, I might be biased because I now have 3 girls and 2 boys and buying bedroom furniture over and over isn't part of the plan or budget..lol I use bedding to kiddie up their rooms.

Using your theme, I would go for something like this where the bedding isn't exactly the same for their beds, but coordinated (scroll to the pink set).

I get decals from here:

Here are some bedroom sets. Personally, I bought my mattresses locally because I wanted to see the quality and knew I could bargain with them on the price since I was buying more than one set:

What would be your dream kids and family?

Please include kids names, where you would live, what kind of house, description of kids, your husband, family vacations, and pets. Pictures would be great too! This is just for fun, I want to hear what your dream kids and family would be like. 10 points to best answer! Thanks â¥

Answer
My house would be something small, but cosy. There would be enough room for me, my husband, the kids and pets. 4 bedrooms, big garden, double garage and en-suite bathrooms.

I would marry my husband in a small reception, with not many people. We would marry in a hotel, as neither of us are religious. There will only be a few close friends and family as guests, and we wouldn't have an evening reception.
My dress would be white with small detailing around the waist and chest area.

My husband would be a caring and compassionate guy that would always be there for the kids and me. He would have a job as a manager in large business, something involving computers and electronics.

My job would be a detective for the county's police station.

I would have 4 children, 3 boys and a girl.

My first born would be a son, named Oliver Samuel. He looks like his mum, and has her brown hair and blue eyes. He has an analytical mind and loves solving problems. He was always good at maths and science, and went on to become a chemist making medicines in a lab. He marries his childhood best friend, Alison and they have two children together: Joseph Oliver and Charlotte Alison.

My second born would be another boy, who I would name Lucas Anthony. He has blonde hair and green eyes, and doesn't look like either of his parents. He's a very creative boy and excelled in art and design at school. He became an art teacher and married a girl he met at college, Samantha. They only had one child, Matilda Rae but adopted a little girl from China, Li Mei.

My third child would be yet another boy, who would be named Mitchell Joseph. He goes by Mitch, and was a popular child. He was outgoing, but sensible. He has brown hair and blue eyes, and looks like his older brother, Oliver. He becomes a private music teacher and teaches mainly guitar and drums to school children. He marries a girl he met at a cafe once, named Laura, and they have three sons; Thomas James, Nathaniel Connor and Finley Matthew.

My last would be a little girl named Emily Katherine. She has brown hair and hazel eyes, and looks a lot like her mum. She loves animals, and has a gift with them. Her best friend is Alex, who she met at playgroup, when she was 3. They marry eachother in the future, and have two daughters; Caroline Rosalie and Cecilia Jane. She is a vet and is well-known across the town for her kindness and gift with animals.

I have two cats, Tommy and Benji. They are brothers and we got them from my brother, who breeds them. Emily loves Tommy and she always plays with him. Benji is a shy cat, and likes to play with Oliver.
