How to decorate a teenage girl's bedroom?

I want the theme to be "love" but I want to limit the pink because I ain't that girly. Right now, I am saving money to buy paint, but for now the walls are white. My bedspread is plain brown, i have one white dresser, and two brown desks in my room. I want to paint my room a deep red and pink border. I want to know some cheap ways to fix the theme, like i made a tissue paper flower, hung it on my wall, then cut out constuction letters and wrote in big letters "love". Any other ideas? REALLY IMPORTANT. What color curtains/bedspread/doilies should I have? And I have a lamp, what should I draw on it, just hearts? and Any other cheap things I can use/make to enhance the theme? Please and Thank you.

I get to re do my room for my b day this year(its a while away but i want to have the perfect room so no sense waiting to find that perfect theme) I am thinking about doing something along the lines of a minimalist theme because i love the way it looks so clutter free and sophisticated. I am turning 13 but i want my room to look really sophisticated and elegant so more of a room for like a 16 yr old maybe. i am a girl, and in high school.
we are moving soon and i get a new room to decorate myself. :)
one color i know i want is hot pink, but i don't know what else.
so, i need colors that will go good with pink. (:
also, what types of furniture should i have?

I like hot pink with light pink, cream and brown. But it can work with lots of colors depending on your bedding and whether you want a calmer bedroom or a lively one. Yellow looks good with hot pink and so does lime green, orange or aqua. Buy comforter first then you can base all your accents...pillows, rugs, lamps, art, candles, etc. on that. I have heard it said many times from decorators, "If you can't change it - embrace it!" So, I would suggest that you find fabric (that has your same, or similar, dark pink in it) in a design/pattern that you really like. Then take colors from that to spread around your room.

I like teal (aqua or icy blue) with black and white, but pink, raspberry or red works with it too. So does coral or salmon or even lime. Not much DOESN'T work with black and white. Maybe something here will help you decide:

what color to paint my room?

i am a girl, and in high school.
we are moving soon and i get a new room to decorate myself. :)
one color i know i want is hot pink, but i don't know what else.
so, i need colors that will go good with pink. (:
also, what types of furniture should i have?
the room is going to a lot bigger than my old room and i don't want it to look empty.
any other suggestions for designing a new room would be great! :D
also, where can i get some bedding? not little girl bedding but not adult bedding. teenage/college bedding.

I like hot pink with light pink, cream and brown. But it can work with lots of colors depending on your bedding and whether you want a calmer bedroom or a lively one. Yellow looks good with hot pink and so does lime green, orange or aqua. Buy comforter first then you can base all your accents...pillows, rugs, lamps, art, candles, etc. on that. Im 14 and a girl and i am SOOO in love with the 50's every single thing about it, to the black and white small tvs to the sock hops to the coca cola glass bottles and to the fridges to the old cars with wings and the clothes and hairstyles and EVERYTHING! I seriously wish i was born in the 50's!

The only problem is im korean and i don't see alot of pictures of asians in the 50's so im not exactly sure how good it would look on me. But
1.) How do i get anything 50's? I don't think we have lots of antique shops where i live, and most everything on the internet is too expensive,
2.) do you think they would have patterns for 50's dresses in stores still?
3.) what about any good 50's music besides elvis?
4.) how to make my room seem like im in the 50's
5.) what were some things teen girls did in the 50's for free time?

I have heard it said many times from decorators, "If you can't change it - embrace it!" So, I would suggest that you find fabric (that has your same, or similar, dark pink in it) in a design/pattern that you really like. Then take colors from that to spread around your room.

what color to paint my room?

i am a girl, and in high school.
we are moving soon and i get a new room to decorate myself. :)
one color i know i want is hot pink, but i don't know what else.
so, i need colors that will go good with pink. (:
also, what types of furniture should i have?
the room is going to a lot bigger than my old room and i don't want it to look empty.
any other suggestions for designing a new room would be great! :D
also, where can i get some bedding? not little girl bedding but not adult bedding. teenage/college bedding.

I like hot pink with light pink, cream and brown. But it can work with lots of colors depending on your bedding and whether you want a calmer bedroom or a lively one. Yellow looks good with hot pink and so does lime green, orange or aqua. Buy comforter first then you can base all your accents...pillows, rugs, lamps, art, candles, etc. on that. Im 14 and a girl and i am SOOO in love with the 50's every single thing about it, to the black and white small tvs to the sock hops to the coca cola glass bottles and to the fridges to the old cars with wings and the clothes and hairstyles and EVERYTHING! I seriously wish i was born in the 50's!

The only problem is im korean and i don't see alot of pictures of asians in the 50's so im not exactly sure how good it would look on me. But
1.) How do i get anything 50's? I don't think we have lots of antique shops where i live, and most everything on the internet is too expensive,
2.) do you think they would have patterns for 50's dresses in stores still?
3.) what about any good 50's music besides elvis?
4.) how to make my room seem like im in the 50's
5.) what were some things teen girls did in the 50's for free time?

I like teal (aqua or icy blue) with black and white, but pink, raspberry or red works with it too. So does coral or salmon or even lime. Not much DOESN'T work with black and white. Maybe something here will help you decide:

How should i paint my daughters room?

We are moving into a new home and we want to paint our daughter's bedroom. The colors we are using are a baby pink and kind of a lime green..idnt know how to paint it. Idnt want to do two different colors.. Iwant to do something cool,n iwill paint two walls pink and two green but idntt want too.

I have heard it said many times from decorators, "If you can't change it - embrace it!" So, I would suggest that you find fabric (that has your same, or similar, dark pink in it) in a design/pattern that you really like. Then take colors from that to spread around your room.

i am a girl, and in high school.
we are moving soon and i get a new room to decorate myself. :)
one color i know i want is hot pink, but i don't know what else.
so, i need colors that will go good with pink. (:
also, what types of furniture should i have?
the room is going to a lot bigger than my old room and i don't want it to look empty.

I like hot pink with light pink, cream and brown. But it can work with lots of colors depending on your bedding and whether you want a calmer bedroom or a lively one. Yellow looks good with hot pink and so does lime green, orange or aqua. Buy comforter first then you can base all your accents...pillows, rugs, lamps, art, candles, etc. on that.
