Any ideas for decorating my bedroom?

Q. I am moving in august and I need ideas for decorating my bedroom. I will be sharing my room with my son, his bedding is baby blue and lime green moons and stars. My favorite colors are hot pink and lime green. I want my part of the room to be relaxing and I want the bed to be the focal point. I am going to have white furniture. I want my side of the room to have a sensual feel. Any ideas?

A. is this room large? U can paint u'r side one color then his another but something that would kinda compliment ea other.. esp u'r color if u'r gonna b the focal pt. Or since u both like & have lime green go w/ lime green walls. then on one wall by him paint either blue stripes/waves/circles/moons.. etc. Then on u'r side put more hot pink items on the walls.. pillows etc...

What are some good complementary colors to pink walls? to transform it into a more sophisticated sheek bedroom?
Q. My dad seems to be oblivious to the fact that his girls are fully grown women! so we are now stuck with hot pink walls in the female suite of our family house. I will rather not paint over it (and hurt his feelings :) so I am looking for complementary colors and decorating ideas to mute out this bold color and ground the space. Any suggestions?

A. You can make your room quite modern and glamorous. White furniture or mirrored fronts on your wood pieces would look nice with a crystal chandelier Add some black and white artwork of Audrey Hepburn or Marilyn Monroe with a furry rug. Green is the complementary color to red and pink is just a tinted red. Use a soft green with whites for a fresh, vibrant, crisp look or muted soft greens such as celedon or sage for a calmer feel. Grass green is strong and Lime green is vibrant.
I would suggest choosing your bedding first and pull your palette from it. Or, decide on your artwork and build from there. Here is an example of pink incorporated in a Gauguin painting. Black will always ground a room.

How should I decorate a bedroom to coordinate with the colors soft grey and hunter green?

Q. I would like some inexpensive ideas to decorate the room. The walls will be a soft grey with white trim. The carpet is hunter green. I want simple and elegant ideas. Have a nice day!

A. Sheer coverings on the windows, some floor plants or potted flowers to match, maybe change your overhead lighting to an inexpensive chandelier. Add throws and pillows to the bedding in your coordinating colors.

What are some creative, inexpensive, and homemade decorating ideas for a bedroom?
Q. My bedroom is very broing. The walls are white, but I am painting them light blue soon. After I paint the walls, I want to do some simple decorating on the walls. I want these to be fun, simple, creative, and HOMEMADE; but still look nice. I like the colors light blue, light pink, light purple, and light green. Please also keep in mind that I am 14.
Thank you! ♥ Emily

A. buy a bunch of unpainted picture frames and frame pictures of all your favorite people in them, celebrities, rock stars, family, friends, pets, vacations, and paint the frames to match your room. unless something like that creeps you out.

Does anyone have some cool inexpensive decorating ideas for a Pirate Bathroom?
Q. I have a guest bathroom that I would like to decorate in a pirate theme. I have a teensy budget (under 100$) and so far I have painted the towel holders, toilet paper holder and switch plates black. I also bought a black shower curtain with white skulls on it. I have a Jolly Roger Flag that I want to hang on the wall behind the toilet, since its the biggest wall to accomodate the flag. Some how I would like to attach a pole like the flag is flying and I was thinking of Bamboo (I have a friend who has a bamboo field) but didnt know if that would go. I have a talking parrot that I will hang from the ceiling, I also have a vase full of the cork from the bottles of wine I drank to fill the vase, which also holds a smaller jolly roger flag.
