beautiful ideas for a bedroom image

I can't change the carpet or paint the walls but I want my room to look more like a teenage girls room. The walls are a really light cream/wood color and the carpet has flecks of purple and tan in it. I just want some ideas as to how to decorate in a way that will tie every thing in. What color furniture? curtains? and bed set?

Hanging light purple sheer panels can lighten it up since there are flecks of purple in the carpeting. A light colored poster board would brighten up the room along with some teen posters (I've seen an array of posters at Walmart). A light purple bedspread that matches the curtains would also bring brightness into the room. Go to garage sales and get an old piece of furniture like a table or a small desk. Paint the top one color and the legs another. Like purple top, tan legs. Sometimes you can get reject paint at paint stores or Walmart at a good price. If you get poster board and it has a border, use that brightly colored paint to accent it. A purple border that matches the table/desk would look beautiful. I hope this helps you, just be creative.

How do I create a Beach or Tropical Oasis Bedroom?

I want my room to look like it's part of an exotic beach front or sort of beautiful tropical jungle atmosphere. 10 points to whoever can link me to pictures along those lines!

I'm in the construction business and most of our projects are butiques and restaurants. anyway the simpliest way to have your room like a part of, having a view of a beach is to have mural stickers (thats what they call it here in the Philippines).
you can check out Large format advertizer in your area and ask for stickers as large as your wall. ask them for beach veiws or tropical island view. these are like wall papers but actually stickers.
another idea is to have also your windows placed with glass stickers. the stickers also have beach views or tropical island view. so it would look as though you were looking at a beach resort through your window.
to have it natural, place grass straws in over the window seal. or have some tropical plants inside the room. some 1inch abbaca ropes wound arround the post of your bed would incorporate the furnitures into the set.
