Broadway and music themed room?

Q. So, I play flute saxophone, clarinet, piano, and some guitar as well as sing so I guess you could call me a music nerd. Anyway my bedroom is in the main room in my basement and I want to tturn an adjoining rOom into like a practice room/ music library. I was looking for some cool decorating ideas other than hanging sheet music (did that) I want to combine my love of Broadway and instrumental music. My closet was also in this room so I was thinking of doing an old broadway dressing room vanity. Any othe ideas are greatly appreciated.

A. My music room is decorated with real instruments scavenged from garage sales, pawn shops, Goodwill etc. Most of course are old but I've cleaned them up and they make marvelous conversation pieces. In addition to my piano, I have a trumpet, a clarinet, an old flute, a brass bass horn, an old guitar, a good guitar, an auto-harp, bongo drums, tambourine, a jews harp, cymbals, a recorder and an assortment of whistles and rhythm devices.

Since I also love Broadway, I have put up several album covers from classic Broadway shows including South Pacific, Oklahoma, My Fair Lady and Annie Get Your Gun.

Have fun.

A. Browse around online and buy show posters that you think look cool and hang em up. If you're trying to keep it low cost, get some poster size paper and draw copies or redo them. Makes for great decor.

A. wow great ideas and start

yes a bunch of sheet music hung looks cool and music stands and instruments hung on the same wall or in the smae area are great....

in the closet can you use christmas lights the led types and make a browardway sign and light it and hang it in the closet...

use hooks to hang dressy clothes and boas and shelves high for fancy shoes...

i think in another area you could do some books

i would try to get the dresser in the closet and get real organized in the closet...hangers and hooks to keep the room clean

shallow baskets under the bed help to keep the storage in place

a throw carpet and a bedspread can pull the rroom togehter with the right curtains

check on line ...domestacation for special...music sheets..

relax

vote for a best answer...and have a great day hanna!
