How to decorate a bedroom?

Q. I would like to have alot of things on the walls and alot of things to look at. I am not married so I would like it to be more of a male room.I really dont have a taste just looking for new suggestions. Thanks

here are some ideas :

-Make a collage in your room. Like put your favourite pictures together and format it into a nice place. (it adds colour and personality!)
-Add a lamp to make your room look cozy and calm
-Add a white or black, or pink rug to make it look cozy , calm and warm
-Put posters on your wall. Like your favourite singers, actresses/actors.
-Decorate your walls with pictures of yourself with your friends, etc.
-You can have a dresser with a mirror and you can put all your perrfume, lotion, nail polish, etc placed neatly on top to add some colour in your room! :D
-Spray a bit of febreeze or air freshener to make your room smell nicer and cooler! I do that all the time lol. It's calms everything down :)
- On your wall, just add anything that describes you
-Hang some artwork!
-Have a vase and fill it with flowers! :)
-if you gave a stuff animal, place it sitting somewhere, can be in a corner.
-if you want to add more colour, then open your closet door so all your clothes stand out!

Q. My room is mostly decorated of things I picked up over the years like posters and stuff. But I don't want to move my whole room to college because my parents are keeping my bedroom the way it is until I graduate and get a house. So what sort of things should I decorate my room with? What are the typical things you'd see in a guy dorm room? Or should I just not decorate at all?

A. do you like a traditional look or a modern look for the room? what sort of furniture do you already have in the room? If you give me a little more info on this I could help you , if you don't want to spend a lot of money on it purchase some unfinshed shelves and paint them yourself by using Verathane paint ,I don't know if you already have a desk or not so you could look at Staples for one and get a chair from there or Ikea here is one example

If you are male use a masculine pattern for your bedding like a stripe or a check to create more of a study look consider painting the room a darker shade this way if you have a brass or chrome light it will look stunning
