Q. Currently, it has hideous yellow walls and marble white tile. It has a queen sized bed and some other furniture. I am allowed to paint the walls, put new accessories/decor up, and get new bedspreads. I like the color scheme white and purple but I don't know if it would be overkill with the floors. What kind of color schemes/themes do you think would look good? The floors cannot be changed.

I love the idea. You can take it one step further by adding a fake "grass" carpet and painting a sky mural on the walls and ceiling. If you're feeling really crafty you can make hanging clouds out of cotton batting:
