how can you decorate a plain wall?

Q. I have just a plain wall in my room, ive been looking up DIY wall decor but cant fund anything cute, please give me ideas. Like I could gover the whole wall with things ive cut out of magazines. Btw I live in a trailor so i cant paint the walls.

A. Wide stripes are a popular trick for adding character to a plain wall.
Think beyond paint and paper: If there's a fabric you love, consider having the walls upholstered in it, for a softer effect.
Paneling is back in vogue. It lends warmth and texture to a room.
In this alternative take on paneling, wood strips have been applied to the wall in a decorative pattern.
The paneling of this dining room was hand-painted to mimic traditional scenic wallpaper.
For subtle interest in this neutral bedroom, squares of grasscloth in two different shades were applied to the wall in a checkerboard pattern.
A paneled niche makes it seem as if this mosaic-tiled wall is floating in front of a wooden one.

what is a good color for decorating a paris themed room besides pink or white ?
Q. i am redoing my room in a parisian theme and need some ideas on how to make it look and feel like your in Paris ,France .I am a 17 yr old girl so please no little kid ideas or anything pink thank you

A. Paris is a vibrantly colorful city with every hue imaginable, so you should select the one that will help you to create the vibe you're trying to achieve in your room. If you're wanting a serene, sophisticated haven you could paint your room a soft lavender gray and have a gallery wall of framed sepia prints of some of Paris's most beautiful architecture. If you want a lively space you could paint your room a vivacious green, sky blue, or pretty turquoise and put up pictures of Luxembourg Gardens and other gems of Paris in the spring. A very soft aqua is feminine without being girlish. I attended the Maison & Objet interior design exposition in Paris last year, and kelly green was the trendiest color then. Of course, this year a new color will be in vogue. Choose what you love.

There's so much more to Paris than the Eiffel Tower or the Moulin Rouge, so you shouldn't limit yourself. Consider the colors you love the most, and how they make you feel. Reds and oranges tend to be more energetic and passionate, but they can be a bit much in a bedroom where you want to be able to relax and sleep. Medium toned blues and greens are usually more tranquil. Pastels are fresh and youthful. There's a fun coffee book titled "Paris in Color" and you can see some of the photos from it here: http://www.missmoss.co.za/2012/04/23/paris-in-colour/

Have fun decorating!

Where can I find pictures of luxurious, unique, and amazing home design?
Q. Hi, I am currently building a house, and am looking for options to design my bedroom. I don't have a budget, so honestly, I don't want ikea-ish looking things. I am looking for very unique, beautiful designs (something resembling design found in Vogue magazine, Celebrity homes)..are there any websites online that would help me with my research??

A. I was looking at this yesterday. Just go to google, and type in (style here) decorating style. Look at sites about them, or google images. I personally looooove the Moroccan kind, and Rustic.
